Welcome to the website of Cumbrian photographer and printer Paul Maven. Paul has been involved in the visual arts, and photography in particular, for more than forty years.
This collection brings together colour and monochrome landscape photography, alongside a small selection from his Flora & Fauna series; a celebration of the diverse nature that sits alongside the natural beauty of Northern Britain and in particular, Cumbria.
Paul also creates one-off and limited-edition alternative process prints, including Cyanotypes and Argyrotypes, as well as a range of handmade Linocut prints.
Paul first picked up a camera in the early 1980's and spent most of his working life as a professional photographer. Although now retired from commercial image capture, Paul spends many hours photographing the fells and valleys of his adopted home of Cumbria.
"Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and will continue to play the leading role in my creative output. It is a passion play. Something that sustains me continuously".
Paul has painstakingly curated a selection of recent and historic works to browse, all of which are available to purchase as fine art prints and limited editions.
